Event Details

With each year, more baby boomers turn age 65 and face a retirement that may last 30 years or longer. Many of these new retirees will have to provide their own retirement income as fewer have a traditional pension plan they can depend on as a source of income.

Annuities are contracts with an insurance company that can help protect you against the risk of outliving your assets. Annuities provide future income in return for your contributions.

During this no-cost, no-obligation dinner workshop, you will learn:

  • What an annuity is and how it can provide supplemental retirement income beyond traditional sources such as IRAs and 401(k)s.
  • Key features of immediate vs. deferred annuities and fixed vs. variable annuities.
  • How to put money into and take money out of an annuity.
  • The different types of payout options and factors affecting payouts.

Use this form to reserve your place in this adults-only workshop, or please or call (803) 376-2807 for more details.
