Tap to Pay
In April, new debit and credit cards will be mailed out to replace your current card(s). These will have a new card number, so you'll need to update your payment information with any companies you've set up recurring payments with once you receive your new card.

Tap-to-Pay Cards

Welcome to convenience. With our new tap-to-pay, also called contactless, cards you are able to make in-person purchases with just a tap of your debit or credit card. No need to swipe or insert your card for transactions. You can also load your new debit or credit card to your digital wallet for contactless payment.
Keeping it simple. Using tap-to-pay is just that simple. As you complete your in-person transaction, just look for the tap-to-pay symbol on the payment terminal and hold your card or device close to complete your purchase. Depending on the merchant, you may not need to enter your pin or provide a signature. Quick and easy, as 1-2-3!
Safe and secure. Contactless payments offer touch-free transactions using NFC, Near-Field Communication, technology which allows your card or device to communicate your payment information wirelessly within a few inches of distance. Any NFC-enabled device can be used to make contactless payments including your smartphone, smartwatch, and now your Palmetto Citizens debit or credit cards. All NFC-enabled devices use encryption to verify your data for purchases. This makes it nearly impossible for anyone to steal your information or interfere with your transaction. Keeping your card secure is your first line of defense against any fraud or scam. Be sure to manage your cards responsibly and keep a consistent register of your transactions.
